The Flex collection demonstrates experimentation with the architectural and customizable possibilities of plexiglass in clothing. A technique known as a living hinge is prominently featured throughout the collection. This technique uses laser cutting to give plexiglass, a normally rigid material, the ability to bend. Plexiglass in this collection is used to provide structure, embellishment, and functional methods of closure.
This retro-futuristic collection blends mid-century inspiration and modern technology through the use of silhouettes, garments, and details reminiscent of a 1950’s aesthetic, playing with a simultaneous nostalgia for the past and future.
