Fortress by Amalsadia is a women’s eveningwear collection for S/S 2019. The collection takes inspiration from the intricate architectural detailing, colors and artistic elements of the Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal located in Jaipur, India.

Fortress encompasses both traditional Indian and Western attire to create garments that appeal to a more diverse market. The use of traditional Indian and Western detailing is seen through fabrication and silhouette. Fortress showcases unique garments through the blending of luxurious prints with intricate surface design and handwork, such as honeycomb smocking, beading and applique.

The designer intended mixture creates a fresh appreciation for culture and modernity. Fortress pertains to a person who is strong and doesn’t get influenced by others and society, this is reflected in the collection as it envelopes the inclusion of different cultural appreciations to create something that can be worn by anyone.
